I can do science me!

Ah the final week of Uni before Christmas, everyones rushing around packing, shopping and finishing work with allnighters (i hear the library is packed at the moment). Its a fun time, i mean i'm fine work wise (GOD BLESS EXTENSIONS!) but theres something thats been getting to me.

You see tomorrow is the presentation for my group work (il post about it soon), all semester me and about 16 other guys have had to think up of a game and create a tech demo, storyboards and design documents about it.

Now i say 16 guys but to be honest including me its been about 9 of us doing all the work. Many people decided not to do any work or do the smallest amount, 2 guys we've only seen once! Now seriously THIS IS FUCKING UNIVERSITY! The drop outs and bums were all in High School and maybe college, but at Uni?! On a course full of people that would kill you for a job in the industry?! On a course you pay for?! SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FUCK!

Ok you may not be the best at coursework, but theres a difference between actually working and just lazing about. Your paying through the nose for this, and its gunna get even more expensive (thank you Tories) so why are you here fucking about doing no work, your the one thats gunna have to pay back the money!

Don't get me wrong, im not a nerd who resents people that don't get firsts. Their is the social side of uni which is pretty epic, but if you can easily get the social aspect from just getting an apartment and a job. If your at Uni just at least attempt to do some bloody work! You fought off loads of people for this spot and your just gunna waste, well fucking done!

Uni needs to be seen more as an investment, you need to put work in for it to pay off. If you don't then please get the fuck out and close the door behind you!
