Thats all meatbags

Im feeling quite empty today, not because its a Sunday and i have mountains of coursework. No im empty because Futurama has ended for me. Last night i saw the final movie "Into the Wild Green Yonder" (thanks to Play.com for getting it to me before Monday) and well thats it now. Fox will probably not commision a sixth series which is an awful shame, Futurama was such a brilliant idea with so much potential, and Groening was never afraid to poke fun at current situations in a future situation. For example how he deals with Planet Express being "off the air" due to the Box Network in the first movie is pure writing genius. The writers also do a good job with the ending of ITWGY and it really does set them up if they do ever return. But sadly the TV industry focuses more on whats popular, safe and makes money. This is why i urge the 5 of you (yeah im counting) to buy the DVDs and tell others. Make Greoning kill off The Simpsons (or at least give them a rest) and bring back Planet Express, bring back the Nimbus and bring back Charleston Chew!!!!

Cheap as chips?

So after playing Rock Band for the whole of Saturday night i got the urge yesterday to get some songs from the game on my iPod. Being the lawful chap that i am i decided "Screw you uTorrent! I shall pay for these" and made my way to Play.com.
Sadly i found only two of the songs that i wanted but i still continued, paying 1.40 for both of them (for some reason my G15 doesnt do pound signs). Anyways i go to bed and then i start thinking and then it hits me.
Mostly every day at college i go to Greg's (a baker) and buy a Mexican Chicken sandwich at 1.50 for lunch, now i got 2 songs for 10p less then that. I mean seriously WHAT THE HELL! For less then a sandwich i legally own the listening rights to two songs. I can burn them, mix them in songs, put them on any music device i wish and yeah, even listen to them! With a sandwich theres less pratical uses, i can eat it, ummmm give it to someone, ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm did i say eat it?
Now im thinking, if i go without getting food at college for a whole month i would have saved enough to buy 60 songs! (can i just point out i am in no way poor, its just a crazy thought).
Im also thinking, is the food industry that mad and expensive or are songs these days, well, cheaper then chips.

Blanket of White

Well im home from a closed college shivering and wet (waiting half hour for a bus). Due to a few cm of frozen rain its closed. It could be due to students not being able to get home or teachers i dont really know.
Im just shocked at how much Britain has a hissy fit over a small layer of snow. Ok its health and safety for runways and small children, but in ye olde days of Britain and in most other snowy countrys people would just wrap up a bit more and continue with their day. Seems to me that people see snow as an execuse to get off work/school, and to be honest i cant blame them. I mean iv got the afternoon off so im happy. Woo!
